Der Wendebach-Stausee ist ein Stausee mit zwei Erddämmen, der in Südniedersachsen im Landkreis Göttingen etwa 8 km südlich von Göttingen und 2 km östlich von Niedernjesa liegt. Der 1973 angestaute See diente lange dem Hochwasserschutz. Da er im Falle bedeutender Hochwasserereignisse nicht sicher war, wurden seine Dämme in den Jahren 2014 und 2015 erniedrigt. Nach dem Umbau vom Stausee zum Badesee wurde der See am 7. Juni 2016 als Badesee freigegeben. Der Stausee und sein Umfeld haben die Funktion eines Naherholungsgebietes.
