Angelradar is a platform for digitally recording catches and for the structured exploration of fishing waters. Our goal is to promote sustainable, animal-welfare-compliant angling. The following binding rules of conduct apply to the use of angelradar.
Using Angelradar requires a respectful, responsible tone. Contributions with offensive, provocative, discriminatory, extremist or otherwise inappropriate content are not permitted.
Since Angelradar deliberately does without forum and chat functions, there is no public discussion beneath contributions. Content is limited to factual catch reports and water-body information. Advertising, spam, copyrighted content without a licence as well as the publication of private data are likewise not permitted.
Catch reports on Angelradar serve to document and to collect water-body data on a fact-based basis. The platform is not a place for competition or self-promotion.
Catch reports are publicly visible. User profiles are accessible only to logged-in members.
Mandatory details of every catch report:
System-side minimum and maximum sizes per fish species serve to protect against misuse. In addition, every angler is obliged to comply with the legal requirements and specific water-body regulations (e.g. closed seasons).
Further information on handling fish in an animal-welfare-compliant manner is documented in the Angelradar codex on releasing fish.
Angelradar relies on the active participation of its users. Anyone can submit new water-body sections for review via the interactive water-body configurator and thereby contribute to building a water-body database that is as complete and high-quality as possible.
New sections are reported via the digital tool for creating water bodies:
👉 Water-body creation
Using the map view, water-body areas can be marked by placing points. Afterwards, details such as the water-body name, type, depth, area, seasonal periods and other information can be entered. The water-body request is then reviewed by our moderators and, if assessed positively, integrated into the platform.
Information on the use of a water body, for example regarding boat permits or other regulations, is based on details provided by users and is not legally binding. Only the requirements of the respectively valid fishing permit are authoritative. angelradar assumes no liability for the accuracy or completeness of this information.
Users of Angelradar undertake to comply with the applicable statutory provisions on animal and nature protection.
