Das Bellinghover Meer ist seit dem Jahr 2010 ein Naturschutzgebiet auf dem Gebiet der Stadt Hamminkeln im Ortsteil Mehrhoog bzw. der Stadt Rees im Ortsteil Mehr. Der Altrheinarm bildet die Grenze zwischen den Kreisen Wesel und Kleve.
